Getting started

Welcome to BlueyEmail

4 min read

BlueyEmail is one place to grow an audience and email them well — campaigns, automations, forms, landing pages, and analytics, all sharing the same contacts. This guide gives you the lay of the land and the shortest route to your first campaign.

What you can do here

  • Campaigns — design a one-off email and send it to a list or segment.
  • Automations — send emails automatically when something happens (a signup, a tag, a purchase).
  • Forms & pages — collect subscribers with embeddable forms, popups, landing pages, and waitlists.
  • Audiences — store contacts, group them into segments, and score them.
  • Analytics — see who opened, clicked, and unsubscribed, and where deliveries land.

The 4 steps to your first email

  1. 1

    Finish onboarding

Tell us your business name and add your mailing address — it is required in every email footer by anti-spam law.

  2. 2

    Connect a sender

Link the mailbox or domain your emails will come from. See Connect a sending account.

  3. 3

    Add contacts

Import a CSV or paste a list. See Import your contacts.

  4. 4

    Send a campaign

Pick a template, write your email, and hit send. See Send your first campaign.

Start on the free plan

You can do everything above without a card. Upgrade only when you outgrow your monthly send volume.

Marketing vs. transactional email

BlueyEmail sends two kinds of email. Marketing email goes to a list — newsletters, promotions, campaigns — and always respects unsubscribes. Transactional email is one-to-one and triggered by an action — receipts, password resets, order confirmations. If you are a developer sending transactional mail over an API, head to the developer docs instead. Everything in this help center is about marketing to an audience.
